From FDA: Electronic cigarettes contain toxic chemicals via doubleplusundead:
Federal health officials said today they have found cancer-causing ingredients in electronic cigarettes, despite manufacturers’ claims the products are safer than tobacco cigarettes.
The Food and Drug Administration said testing of products from two leading electronic cigarette makers turned up several toxic chemicals, including a key ingredient in antifreeze. FDA scientists said they tested 19 varieties of cigarettes, many of which contained fruit and candy flavors.
Figured this was coming. A lot sooner than I thought, but there it is. Governments all over the country are seeing cigarette tax revenues drop due to people quitting tobacco. The more popular e-cigs get, the more people will move away from tobacco (and the taxes).
On the bright side, taxing the shit out of e-cigs might keep politicians away from the cheeseburgers and booze for a while longer.

Sparkfun
If you are not familiar with Sparkfun, you should really go take a look. They have tutorials, a forum, an IRC channel on Freenode and, of course, lots of gadgets.
When I was first getting started with electronics, Sparkfun was invaluable to me. Their, AVR tutorials are well done and really helped get me started.
Booze of the Week
Well, we can’t very well have a Hooker of the Week without also having a Booze of the Week.
We’re going to start this off with a simple, old standby that I’ve been enjoying this week. Jack and Coke.
I’m not going to bother to include a recipe on this one. If you can’t figure this one out I’ll have to add you to TheList.

This is something new I’m going to take for a drive here. I should note that when I say “Hooker” I don’t necessarily mean “prostitute” in the legal sense. Have you ever known a woman that fucked for free ? Before you answer, did you buy her a drink ? Then you paid.

People that drive in traffic with their high beams on. They’re either assholes or they’re retarded. That’s really the only two choices.
Either they know they’re blinding the shit out of other drivers and don’t care (assholes) or they just don’t realize that those bright fucking lights in some poor bastard’s eyes is irritating and dangerous (retarded).
