Booze of the Week

This week I’m drinking Jim Beam.
Straight: Not bad, but harsher than Jack Daniels
7up: I really didn’t like this one. 7up did nothing for the Jim Beam and the Jim Beam worsened the taste of the 7up.
Ginger Ale: Pretty damned good.
Coke: eh, not bad not great.
All in all, I have to go with Ginger Ale.

If you have to add anything beyond ice, or (reluctantly) water, or (specialty) coffee–then it’s not booze.
There may be a man law about that somewhere.
Next week, I’m moving on to rum. And just so we’re clear, it has just as much alcohol in it no matter what you mix it in.
I’ll vote early: Barbancourt, five star, from Haiti. Superb.
I’ll put that on my rum list. I’ve got a bottle of Capt Morgan at the moment.
