Cow Car Tipping
From the crazy motherfuckers up north we get a new sport.
Owners of pint-sized Smart cars aren’t laughing about reports that vandals may be targeting the tiny vehicles in a 21st-century take on tipping cows over.

After Hours
From Modern Drunkard:
Going to a party after the bars have closed is akin to crawling to the peak of Mt. Everest then turning to your expedition party and declaring, “Right, nice view. Now let’s break out the toboggans and see how fast we can get down the other side of this bastard.”
It’s a wild, exhilarating ride, all blur and screaming, and usually finishes with a spectacular crash.
Heh.
Tomorrow is the enemy if it steals one moment from today. Tomorrow is where your boss yells at you for showing up late, if you deign to show up at all. Real drunks live in the now, and right now we’d like to have some more booze.

We’ve lost the numbers: CRU responds to FOIA requests
From The Register via Small Dead Animals:
The world’s source for global temperature record admits it’s lost or destroyed all the original data that would allow a third party to construct a global temperature record. The destruction (or loss) of the data comes at a convenient time for the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) in East Anglia -- permitting it to snub FoIA requests to see the data.
Isn’t that fucking convenient?
On the Whitehouse tracking website visitors
From Judicial Watch via Soylent Green:
A 9-year-old policy forbids the U.S. government from implementing methods on federal internet sites that track an internet user’s every click, often identify the person and even build a database of each user’s viewing habits. This poses a serious threat to Americans’ personal information, according to the Obama cheerleading squad better known as the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
So the Whitehouse is going to start using tracking cookies. Where to start, where to start …
Look go read this and come back … I’ll wait.
Are we technologically caught up now ? Good. Yes, tracking cookies are “bad” but are they some insidious plot by the whackjobs in charge ? No, not really. Is it shitty behavior, yep, it is. But here’s the tip; your computer won’t accept cookies you don’t want to accept.
Better security tips can be had. At a minimum everyone should be running the latest Firefox browser with Ad Block Plus and No Script installed. People really need to stop treating their computer like a borrowed penis.
New Toy
I got a new toy in the mail.

It is a breakout board for Atmel’s at90usb162 microcontroller, along with supporting hardware and USB connector.
You can program Bumble-B without any special hardware and using entirely free and open source software from Atmel and the AVR community.
You can find it at Fletchtronics.net. Tell him ArmedGeek sent you and he might write “Bomb Parts” on the package before he mails it.
Booze of the Week
This week I’m drinking Jim Beam.

Straight: Not bad, but harsher than Jack Daniels
7up: I really didn’t like this one. 7up did nothing for the Jim Beam and the Jim Beam worsened the taste of the 7up.
Ginger Ale: Pretty damned good.
Coke: eh, not bad not great.
All in all, I have to go with Ginger Ale.
Zombieland Redband Trailer
Awesomeness.
