Gin or Booze of the Week update

I finally made it down to the liquor store to pick up a couple more bottles of gin.
I’ve killed the last of the New Amsterdam and have started on the Beefeater. Still doing gin & tonics. I can’t yet identify exactly what is different between the New Amsterdam and the Beefeater but it is certainly different. I’m going to try to get to making a martini with the Beefeater before I call it a day. If I succeed I’ll post the results in and update.
Oh, and this obviously starts another round of ‘find the stuff in the background’.
Update: The New Amsterdam is kinda “citrus-y” where the Beefeater leans more towards what I’ve heard people call “pine needle-y”

A recipie for you:
1 L Tangueray
1.5L tonic water (the diet stuff is OK if you are watching your girlish figure, as I am)
Juice of 5 limes
5 limes cut into quarters
1- 5# bag of ice
Add all that shit into a big cooler with a spigot (like the Coleman ones we used to have at t-ball games).
Get a big glass, take the cooler and glass with you to the boat launch. Launch the boat, and drift…..
The Tangueray is on the list for the next liquor store run along with bombay saphire.
First off, it’s T-A-N-Q-U-E-R-A-Y….with a “Q”!!!
Second, if you enjoy gin with lime, try the Rangpur. It’s a lot smoother than the original.
