New Pipe
Posted by ArmedGeek on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 in Personal, Pipe Smoking
Recently I purchased a new pipe. This is a “premium” pipe from a respected pipe maker.

This is a $75 pipe. Now, the problem is … it’s kinda tough to pack tobacco and light afire a $75 pipe. I’ve not actually smoked this yet. I have not decided what sort of tobacco I want to introduce to this work of fucking art.

Very nice burling, and shape.
Next up, Meershaum
Nice shape. I’d have a hard time setting a $75 item on fire as well, unless it was fireworks.
Try “Barking Dog” pretty good blend, good smoke.
And try this. This could get real funny.

I dunno. My Montecristos wouldn’t burn too well in that bowl.
Nice pipe.
I’ve always wanted to get one of those Sherlock Holmes style pipes, the kind that rolls down. I’m afraid, though, I have no experience with them at all, and it would probably end up sitting on my mantel as a decoration.
As far as tobacco goes, my only experience is with cigars. Nothing better than sitting outside on a nice cool evening, with a glass of brandy, a nice medium to strong Cohiba, and some good friends to pass the time with.
Believe it or not there’s a whole lot of pipe related videos on youtube.
I’m with the Friar on this one.
The Sherlock Holmes-style pipe is known as a calabash. Googling around for calabash or holmes calabash should bring up a few.
“I have not decided what sort of tobacco I want to introduce to this work of fucking art.”
Are you kidding? For a $75 work of fucking art, the only appropriate fuel is $500/ounce hydroponically-grown Sinsemilla.
