Girlie Drink of the Week
Keeping up the tradition of booze, and since I ran out of Absolut Citron, I am falling back on one of my favorites, the Chocolate Martini:

1 1/2 parts Chocolate Liqueur
1 1/2 parts Creme de Cacao
1/2 part Vodka
2 1/2 parts Half & Half, or Cream
Shake with ice; strain into a martini glass garnished with chocolate syrup. For a twist, you can dip the rim in cocoa powder, and instead of mint, I would add a stemmed cherry. I adore this drink. Chocolate AND booze….how perfect is that?? I even have the quitessential glass for it:

I did try the recipe that is listed, but found mine to be stronger in taste, and spirit. I have very few luxuries in life, but by Grabthar’s Hammer (thanks, Enas!) I will have my frou frou drink well presented!!

Mmmmmmm….. chocolate…..
See, I just can’t make myself put liquor with perfectly good cream.
I did try one but since I am not very good at this business of drink mixing yet, I think I may have messed it up. I’ll have to try again using this recipe.
Nicole, you can always stick with the Midori Sour! I also like the Alligator: one part Midori to two parts orange juice. Actually sounds good right now
That does sound pretty good. I’ll have to try that one as well.
Mmmm – looks and sounds delicious! Alas I gave up booze when Mr. Diabeetus came knocking on my door. Oh well.
Enjoy!
Psst, there are only two kinds of martinis–and neither has chocolate.
And that’s why I named it the GIRLIE Drink of the Week, cbullitt
Still, girlie or not, the occasional mixing of chocolate, vodka, and other “secret herbs and spices”, can not be entirely, a bad thing!
*lifting his glass high* Happy New Year to you all.
