I don’t know what to think of this…

I mean, this is either really awesome or really horrible. Maybe a bit of both.
Man Law : The head nod is an acceptable way to greet another guy when simply walking past. No words are needed to be said. An upward nod is for friends, a downward nod is for fellow men.

Wow. There are no words.
You know, I saw this trailer yesterday, and I thought having the young girl cussing like that takes away from the effectiveness of her fighting capabilities. They should have left her more innocent and sweet talking. THAT would have been far better.
That looked so comic-book I HAVE to see it!
Yeah, I’ll probably have to see that one too.
Having her cuss could be a psych advantage, but yeah, that turned me off as well (so I’m an old fart, sue me *grin*). The premise looks interesting, might be worth a look … was that Nick Cage as the dad?
You know I find it funny that everyone fixates on the profanity. The problem I had with it was the ridiculous level of violence this little girl was inflicting. Even acting, that’s some fucked up shit to have a child actor doing.
Both are pretty fucked up to have a child actor do, but being honest, the violence is probably what she won’t or doesn’t do already. I don’t find either offensive because it is a movie and therefore not real. The only thing I thought was jarring was her use of “c-nt.” I tend to think of that needing to be said with a lower class English accent when speaking to a male. So.. I guess from a little English girl I’d have no issues at all… Okay. Maybe I’m a tad too desensitized.
Nicole,
You hit the nail on the head. When I heard her utter the word “c*nt” my very first thought was “Where is her Cockney accent?”
I hate to admit it, but seeing a kid do all of Angelina Jolie’s moves e.g. Tomb Raider & Wanted ( switching gun clips, dodging bullets, etc) gave me a chuckle.
ArmedGeek, though I agree with your take on having a child doing such violent things, I have to say I have seen kids do pretty mean things at an early age, because they have not been taught a moral compass by their parent/ guardian(s). For me, the only reason I mentioned the profanity was that I would find a “Hit Girl” more effective if she were using cute and adorable words while she is inflicting carnage upon a bunch of hoods. For example, she says sweetly,”You’ve been a very bad boy,” and then blows his head off. For me that’s way better than using foul language
As to her use of the “C” word, I thought of some guy from Drury Lane, too
Is she free November, 2010? I’m thinking of some voters who need to be kept away from the polls… Oops. Most of ‘em are already dead. My bad. *heh*
What…the fuck….was that?
Nothing but awesome! That is going on the need to see list.
