Oh, My Effing Boob Belt

Posted by LC Aggie Sith on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 in AssHatery, Politics

As previously discussed, I will be posting mental boobery found throughout the Obama-worshipping belt. Predictably, Europe doesn’t disappoint:

BERLIN – A musical about Barack Obama’s “Yes we can” election campaign premieres in Germany this weekend, including love songs by the president to his wife Michelle and duets with Hillary Clinton.

Even John McCain and Sarah Palin are given stage time, with actors portraying the losing Republican candidates and belting out songs on their behalf.

In all, 30 singers, actors and dancers are to perform in the musical “Hope — the Obama Musical Story” when it opens at the Jahrhunderthalle concert hall in Frankfurt in a bilingual mix of English and German. The audience may recognize that many songs quote from the politicians’ stump speeches during the 2008 U.S. presidential campaign.

First we had “Obama On My Mind” open in London. Then we had “Obama: The Musical” open in Nairobi, Kenya. And now Frankfurt. Mental boobery, indeed. And in case you didn’t believe me: (more…)

Girlie Drink of the Week

Posted by LC Aggie Sith on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 in Booze Links, BOTW

Much ado has been made on these threads about tequila. Ok, maybe not much. ArmedGeek is not a big fan of it, and I tend to get sick if I drink it. However, perusing a website recommended by Nicole, via The One Armed Man, I did find a recipe for a Chambord Margarita. I am not a big fan of margaritas, but decided to give it another try. I found several different variations of the drink at Chili’s, and imbibed one (ok, three), and found it pretty delicious, as in “Whoa!” I recommend this one on the rocks, as opposed to frozen, simply due to the beautiful color. That, and you can drink it faster on the rocks.

Movies 2009

Posted by ArmedGeek on Sunday, January 10, 2010 in Entertainment

Well, I guess since everyone else is doing it, I may as well throw something together. I am not a movie critic. I can either give a thumbs up or down or write a fucking book on why a movie is good or bad, I can’t seem to find any middle ground there.

My Favorite Movie of 2009: Zombieland.

I know, I know, that sounds soooo odd. 1) Zombieland was funny and entertaining, 2) It added new ideas (the rules) to zombie movies, 3) (this is the big one) I honestly can’t think of anything that could be added or removed to make the movie substantially better.

Here’s the list of 2009 movies that I have seen (in no particular order):

Better Off Ted

Posted by ArmedGeek on Sunday, January 10, 2010 in Entertainment, Teh Funny

Below is an outtake from the Better Off Ted episode wherein there’s a wee typo that leads to all kinds of fun. Warning, Moron levels of language are included.

Also, I find the formula interesting and wish to subscribe to its newsletter. And if you aren’t watching Ted, you really really should be.

Stoned Out of His Mind

Posted by LC Aggie Sith on Sunday, January 10, 2010 in AssHatery, History, Movies

Fresh from his success over his historical blockbuster, W”, and following in the footsteps of his highly-acclaimed documentary, “Comandante”, Oliver Stone prepares to indoctri-- I mean, educate the masses with his newest work, a ten-part documentary series for Showtime called, “Secret History of America”:

Director Oliver Stone’s upcoming Showtime documentary miniseries “Secret History of America” promises to put mass murderers such as Stalin and Hitler “in context.”"Stalin, Hitler, Mao, McCarthy — these people have been vilified pretty thoroughly by history,” Stone told reporters at the Television Critics Association’s semi-annual press tour in Pasadena.

Let’s see now…..”Uncle Joe” Stalin’s body count: between 20 and 40 million; Adolph Hitler’s body count: almost 6 million Jews, and over 6 million others; Mao Tse Tung’s body count: nearly 77 million; Senator Joseph McCarthy’s body count: anyone? Anyone? Bueller?? Yes, all four are vilified, but the difference is, the right vilifies the killers, whereas the left vilifies the one who exposed communists in our government (in fairness, some on the left do tend to draw the line at Hitler, because his body count was racially motivated). I don’t see Mr. Stone making a documentary of just how misunderstood Sen. McCarthy was, do you? (more…)

Watchmen

Posted by ArmedGeek on Saturday, January 9, 2010 in Entertainment

This city is afraid of me. I have seen it’s true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout “Save us!”…

…and I’ll look down, and whisper “no.”

Judge tosses out most evidence on Gitmo detainee

Posted by ArmedGeek on Friday, January 8, 2010 in AssHatery, News, Politics, terrorism

From PublicOpinionOnline:

A federal judge has tossed out most of the government’s evidence against a tarrorism detainee on grounds his confessions were coerced, allegedly by U.S. forces, before he became a prisoner at Guantanamo Bay.

In a ruling this week, U.S. District Judge Thomas Hogan also said the government failed to establish that 23 statements the detainee made to interrogators at Guantanamo Bay were untainted by the earlier coerced statements made while he was held under harsh conditions in Afghanistan.

However, the judge said statements he made during two military administrative hearings at the U.S. detention center in Cuba, where he was assisted by a personal representative, were reliable and sufficient to justify holding the detainee.

Musa’ab Omar Al Madhwani allegedly engaged in a 2 1/2-hour firefight with Pakistani authorities before his capture in a Karachi apartment in 2002.

Doesn’t that just make you feel all warm inside ?

From Ace:

No surprise. Either the courts must accept — and bless as Constitutional — the extraordinary treatment due to these vile monsters, and thus bless such treatment for all criminal suspects in the United States (plainly a hateful conclusion), or they must toss out all the evidence against them and set terrorists free.

And he’s right. This is precisely why these motherfuckers have been kept out of the country. This is what happens when elected officials make decisions based on the way they think things should would as opposed to the way things actually do work.

And these are the morons who style themselves as being based in reality.

Quote of the Week

Posted by LC Aggie Sith on Friday, January 8, 2010 in Politics

We have Booze of the Week, Hooker of the Week, and I just could not pass this up:

“Let me buy a [security] pass … so that they can scan me and and search me and measure my penis, then let me get on the plane.” — James Carville

Yes, the Ragin’ Cajun will do anything to get on a plane. Nevermind that airport scanners only measure radiation and explosives levels.

Don’t worry, Mr. Carville….even if the scanners did measure the length of any extremeties, it would not take very long to measure yours, I’m sure.
