So, if I read this correctly, sometime in the not so distant future, everyone working will be in government, and everyone in the private sector will be unemployed?
Socialism, anyone???
I just noticed the Weblog Awards widget. That’s just fucking priceless!
Rats! I spent long seconds – Seconds, I say! – stealing that graph from Ed Morrissey and writing up a post a little while ago. I figured I’d post it tomorrow when I’m hung over from drinking the Baily’s I haven’t opened yet.
LC – the way I figure it, soon we will have more people writing, administering, or enforcing laws than we have peons who are subject to those laws.
We will have more people living off our tax dollars than we will have generating them.
In other words, things are gonna suck mightily – we’re talking 10e-8 Torr here! Hard vacuum! Deep space! – if we don’t get a handle on this gov growth soon.
And I just notice that awards thingy too! I want it!
10e-8 Torr??
I was thinking more along the lines of .380 ACP, 9 mm, .40 S&W…you know. Those kind of numbers
That title on the graph should say “Clusterfuck” Chart of the day.
The weblog thing is superb.
10e-8 torr. heh.
McGoo: Take it
That graph makes me ill. Wish I still drank or indulged in nicotine, or something.
Failed due to retardation – love that. Poignant is the word I’d choose to describe the message there.
The blue line is just “goods producing employees”, not “all private sector employees”.
It’s showing us that as auto jobs, etc., disappear, they are replaced with Government “jobs”.
What sickens me the most is the change in trending around 2000, when the lines stopped being parallel (basically), and Government continued on it’s “normal” trajectory, while the “goods producers” dropped off.
Sad times ahead, folks.
Shameless plug for my blog coming up in 5, 4, 3, 2, ..
Check out this cool vid for the 2010 elections. It’ll give you goosebumps:

I almost forgot. Make sure to check out the other stomach-hurting graph as well:

Saw the video a few days ago. Indeed, the PUMAs are mobilizing! And still those idiots in DC don’t see the anger they have inspired throughout our country.
You know, I’ve been thinking…. the gov’t uses our money to make money, then gives us back the principal as our refund come tax time, right? Well, what if we didn’t do withholding at all, just paying a lump sum come April 15th? Seriously thinking about doing that next year…
