Texas Conservative’s Blog

Posted by ArmedGeek on Thursday, February 11, 2010 in Politics

I’d like to highlight a new addition to the blogroll. Texas Conservative’s Blog is all over the Texas Gubernatorial race in ways far better than I.

Here’s a point-by-point dismantling of KBH:

The first debate has come and gone, and the clear loser was the 16 year Senator whose votes are coming back to show Texans she has a record…one she cannot defend.

And here:

For those who are involved in the Republican Party, it is known that there are three legs to the stool: Fiscal, Social, and National Security. Now for races on a state level, only the first two legs receive attenion….and will the candidates get questioned on. So, considering national security will not be playing a big roll in the Texas Governor’s race, Senator Hutchison’s campaign is perhaps the most dire of straits since it began.

Go Read. I’ll wait.

  1. Great blog and great find, ArmedGeek. Texas Conservative does a fabulous job of dissecting KBH.

I checked Rick Perry’s official FB page after the Beck interview. It did not disappoint. A few Medinanites wandered in there, one in particular left this gem:

Glenn Beck is a noecon front man, nothing more-Perry is controlled, like the majority of poiliticans by the Bilderberg group, People such as Palin, Perry and Borwn are false hopes at best. The dems know they are losing public support, to win it back they simply present someone that the public will view as repub or conservative-but the truth is they are no differant than the ones holding office now, they all work for the same people aiming for the same goals-Things will not change with them.

    Yeppers….The Bilderbergers!!!111ELEVENTY!!!

    you’re for Perry?

As with most elections, he’s the best of what’s available.

Used to live in Texas, from the late 70′s to the mid 80′s. If I was still there rest assured Debra Medina admitting she is a “truther” (on Glen Beck’s radio show) would have not only lost her my vote, but would have caused me to actively campaign against her, in any way possible.

Rather have a Rick Perry who seems to be beholding to to many interests (other than what might be best for Texas) from time to time. … He just smacks too much of the politician vice statesman. But in this case better to dance with the devil you know. YMMV of course.
