Doppelgangers
Being a mom to young children, I frequently become a hostage to kid-friendly TV. Last night was no exception. As I was busy making a bracelet (pics to come later
), my youngest took over the TV, and decided her life on Sunday would not be complete until she watched “iCarly” on Nickelodeon. Normally I tune it out, but last night was different. I was mesmerized by one of the secondary characters:
His name is Gibby. Yes, you read that correctly. And it brought to mind just how much he looks like this Gibby:

Tell me I’m wrong.

No you are not wrong
LOL, no you’re not wrong.
Damn, that’s hilarious.
My son is occasionally mesmerized by iCarly, and I’ve thought the same thing. I haven’t paid enough attention to know why, but that kid frequently comes on screen, takes off his shirt, and kids think it’s hilarious.
Personally if Gibbs did that at every press conference I’d be amused too.
FREAKY. Is the kid’s character as much of an asshat as is Gibbs? (I don’t watch TV, so I truly don’t know!)
The character is a weird kid who prefers to be shirtless, and tends to be a bit “wanting” in the mental department….
Hm….
Bullseye!
I used to really like this show, but then Carli started kissing boys all the time, and Sam started physically assaulting Freddie. Both of those things are not okay for little girls to do. Sets a bad example.
I pick and choose which episodes she can watch, too. For example, the whole kissing thing is verbotten, and my little one is aware there are no physical confrontations allowed. One such episode was the MMA one, where Carly disobeyed her brother, had doppelgangers in her studio to fool Spencer, and then went to the MMA. Spencer had forbidden her to go, and all he go for his trouble was a trouncing by a mixed martial artist. She got away scot free. Not cool.
So, most of the shows she watches are re-runs, before they got rather insane
Don’t have youngens that age any longer, so not up to speed on what passes for “children’s television” these days.
As far as the stocky youngster having more than a passing resemblance to the current WH Press Secretary, he sure does! Hope the kid doesn’t have too many mental scars because of this unfortunate similarity.
A shirtless Gibbs. Now, that’s a picture I want to get OUT of my head…
Snrk, snrk, bwahahahahahaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!
