Arizona to allow concealed weapon without permit

Favoring the constitutional right to bear arms over others’ concerns about gun safety, Gov. Jan Brewer on Friday signed into law a bill making Arizona the third state allowing people to carry a concealed weapon without requiring a permit.
Heh. There is no media bias.
The measure takes effect 90 days after the current legislative session ends, which likely puts the effective date in July or August.
“I believe this legislation not only protects the Second Amendment rights of Arizona citizens, but restores those rights as well,” Brewer, a Republican, said in a statement.
Alaska and Vermont now do not require permits to carry concealed weapons.

But … but … scary black rifles are nothing more then the obvious extension of what will be facing our children, should this devious trend toward arming the
slack jawed, knuckle dragging, homophobic, racist, bible thumping, right winged extremist, veteran… err … common man.Why, the next thing you know, those neanderthals in Az will be enforcing their borders; preventing all the hard working and industrious “undocumented aliens” from having free and unrestricted access to your wallet … oops, I meant “our American standard of living”.
*Sigh*, I would be happy just to wake up and find the draconian FOID laws, here in the Peoples Republick of Illinois, were repealed, let alone we had unrestricted concealed (or open carry for that matter) carry availability.
Not to mention those slightly less than subliminal leftist talking point comments. Not many people are stupid enough to think you could conceal an AR-15, but there are those who might not see the flavor of the writing. You can hide cyanide in an Almond pie.

Now, if we could just get the pols to grow some scrotal hairs in Tallahassee and do away with the concealed carry requirement altogether and go to open-carry, here in FL. Having to go around with a concealed weapon restricts your choice of available fire power when you’re wearing shorts and a T-shirt in the FL heat and humidity.
BTW, has anyone seen or read about the supposed “Wild, Wild West” that FL was “guaranteed” to turn into when the “Castle Doctrine” was extended to include everywhere a person happened to be and we no longer had a “duty to retreat”? I seem to have missed that part of the news over the last few years… (Although I have seen a few articles noting a distinct rise in the number of thugs assuming room temperature while committing violent felonies, since the passage of the law…)
