I didn’t know that trailer was out.
Minimal plot, lots of guns and explosives, action hero convention–could be fun. Too bad Van Damme bowed out–not having the full compliment of old timers kills the buzz a bit.

Now if they had just stuck Sean Connery in the role of maybe being the brains of the outfit, and maybe Gene Hackman as the chief bad guy. That would be awesome.

I know Enas, but Ralph Fiennes as Hades and Liam Neeson as Zeus….shit, they are too pretty and young for those roles, IMO. Maybe not Liam, but definitely Ralph.
Of course, metrosexuals were made for those roles….

If I recall – the original CoftheT (1981?) sucked a bit – but had Ursula Andress in it in a purely decorative fashion…

On a related note, that new FX series “Justified” kicks ass! The sherrif from Deadwood is playing… well, he’s still the sheriff from Deadwood, but it works. Great show!
Yeah, the roundup of 80′s beefcakes was a great idea. I’m looking forward to this movie…and hopefully sequels! Maybe they can get Van Damme to kick the crap out of Steven Segal in Expendables 2…
I’ve only watched the first ep of Justified so far but I do like it.
OHHH mannn, I don’t know about this one. So many big names fighting for attention. Could be that the best parts you’ve already seen.

I sat through Death Race again last night. Not because it was on my target list of reruns, but because there was a terrible void in anything else worth screening.

One for the “home theater” (cos I can’t stand the crowds at movie theaters any more. Someone needs to produce a flick about vigilantes who go around lynching people with big mouths and cell phones in movie theaters.).
