Best Revenge Movies

Posted by ArmedGeek on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 in Entertainment

I don’t really remember why but I got to thinking about revenge movies.

Payback also holds a top spot for movies which have no good guys.

This is one of the coolest films I’ve seen in years. The backward chronology has the effect of making the viewer feel the same sort of confusion as the main character.

What’s your favorite revenge movie ?

Update: I promise, I really don’t wait until Aggie posts something good before I do one of my crappy posts. At worst, I’m just guilty of not reading my own blog.

One of the best I’ve seen so far is “Law Abiding Citizen”. “Collateral Damage” wasn’t bad either.

  2. Hmmmm…best revenge movies…. Payback is right at the top for me. James Coburn was fabulous in it. Memento was awesome, but you have to keep a list of everything that’s going on. I ended up watching it three times to make sure I got everything.

I liked The Crow, too, though not everyone was a bad guy.

    ROFL!!!!

    “Law Abiding Citizen”

That movie was really good but the ending sucked ass.

    Payback is awesome.
“High Plains Drifter” is pretty high on the revenge meter.

  5. “The Ballad Of Cable Hogue” was a pretty good revenge movie too, as I remember it. I haven’t seen it since the early 80′s, but I remember really enjoying it. Gonna have to watch it again one of these days.

My favorite revenge movie is Taken. Liam Neeson kicked some serious ass in that flick.

  9. There’s the classic: Deathwish, with Charles Bronson.

    I really liked Payback, too!

The Outlaw Josie Wales. I even sort of liked Death Sentence regardless of the lead being played by Kevin Bacon.

Although in Mystic River, I enjoyed Meryl Streep putting a bullet in Bacon’s chest out of revenge.
