Booze of the Week

A bit of a change of pace around here, mostly due to the fucking heat …

I’m not generally a fan of fancy beer but this is some pretty damned good stuff.

  1. HEB had this on sale, and I got some on the chance our friend would like it. It was very good!

  2. Yeah, Samuel Adams puts out some great beer. I like everything they make, save for just a couple varieties. Probably this is one of my fail-safe beers. The only thing I really don’t like from them is whichever one is made with raspberries. Never did get into fruit-flavored beer or ale.

But the Boston Lager is always good.

AG, what beer is your favorite?

Generally, my recreational beer is Miller Lite. But when I’m in a mood for something with more flavor I tend to lean towards Sam Adams or Shiner.

  4. Mmmmm….Shiner…..

mental note- go to Spec’s today :D

Y’all should see the house that Mope built out of his empty Sam Adams bottles. :D

The nice thing about Sam Adams is that it’s got a little octane to go with the flavour. I don’t drink to get drunk, but if I have a buzz on my way out the door of the bar, I figure I got my money’s worth.

Yeah, Canadians are beer snobs but we can appreciate a decent brew when we try it…and it’s nice to have a great beer to balance out my intense hatred of nearly everything else Bostonian.

Sam Adam’s yes. Try “Latitude 48″, or any of the “Imperials”.

Sam Adams beer rocks. Ice cold on a hot day…hell yeah.

Sam Adams works for me too. Good flavor, full body, nice selection of different variants of the brewmakers art … what’s not to like?

When I run out of my own brews, I turn to Sam Adams, New Belgium, Boulevard (a small KCMO brewery) or Sierra Nevada. All of ‘em brew some good stuff.
