The Good, The Bad, and The Ooglay*
So, perusing the news this AM I find some good, some bad, and some just…. stomach churning. First, The Good:
The Supreme Court affirms gun rights nationwide. Chicago burns.
Senator Robert Byrd (KKK-WV) has passed away. Senate is looking for a taxidermist, since this places the so-called financial reform bill in limbo, seeing as Byrd is gone and Brown (RINO-MA) is currently finding his balls by hinting he’ll vote against it.
Over in Great Britain, the new Coalition government is hoisting its trousers, announcing a proposal that would require employers to place foreign workers on private health insurance to avoid “undue burden” on their National Health Service, AKA socialized medicine.
The IPCC is once again taking it in the shorts. Sadly, Al Gore cannot be reached for comment.
Now for The Bad:
Things turned fwench at the G20 in Toronto. It’s not unusual for protesters to gather at these globalization circlejerks, but sure seems like Toronto was caught a bit off-guard.
Prez Obama decides to get serious. Country will burn.
Prez Clinton counsels to blow up the well. If anyone knows anything about blowing, it’s him, I suppose.
Lastly, for The Ooglay:
Elena Kagan begins the confirmation hearings process. Meanwhile, the moron tasked with sealing the borders confesses it will never happen, and that border control is not the answer to “immigration reform”.
* I just could not defame that classic.
Update [ArmedGeek]: I hope Aggie doesn’t mind me stepping on her post a bit but I think this is a good place for this.
U.S. Arrests 10 on Charges of Being Agents for Russia
Ten people have been arrested for allegedly serving as secret agents of the Russian government with the goal of penetrating U.S. government policymaking circles.
Can we stop calling these fuckers “allies” yet ?

It’s another banner news day in America. If you watched any of the Kagan hearings, you would have counted the words “consensus builder” so many times you would have sworn you were hearing Zero say “I” again and again and again.
It was almost a drinking game, wasn’t it??
You know what I found funny, in a “fucking idiot” kind of way? The fact that the Wise Latina(c) claimed to understand gun rights during her confirmation hearings, and yet voted against striking the gun ban in Chicago.
The Kagan circus is just beginning.
I never picked up the habit
And no, I don’t mind at all. But you do owe me
Thank you for this brightly smiling collection of news. I was trying to figure a way to put up several of those, but I think I’ll just link your collection today.

We spy on friends all the time – spying in and of itself doesn’t mean you’re enemies. It’s not that we don’t trust anybody, it’s just that we don’t trust anybody.
That said, we shouldn’t be calling them friends. Only a fool would do that. The Russian psyche is a bit too paranoid (for many good reasons over the last century or so) to easily form a stable relationship.
Don’t forget – Clinton knows blowing – and temperature-controlled humidors.
Put a big smile on my ugly mug for shure. Love the news bites……as for the left. I often think I cannot aruge with them, for they flee into ambiguity. Easier to simply oppose them and ridicule as much as possible. Like informing one customer at work about my recent, to be picked up tomorrow after work, acquisition. Yup John…in competent hands, meaning better than mine, this puppy could blow your head off a klick away. Not sure if it was rectal arrhythmia or a blown hemorrhoid, but he did not look happy. Alas, so many liberals to offend, so little time……
