Actor John Cusack went on a caustic Twitter rampage Sunday evening, attacking former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Fox News.
“I AM FOR A SATANIC DEATH CULT CENTER AT FOX NEWS HQ AND OUTSIDE THE OFFICES ORDICK ARMEYAND NEWT GINGRICH-and all the GOP WELFARE FREAKS,” Cusack tweeted.
Seriously, this is a WTF moment for me. I know John Cusack is a HUGE Obamabot…. his entire family is very liberal, from his sisters Ann and Joan to his late father, Dick. I grew up on John’s movies. I grew up wanting to be Mrs. John Cusack. I wanted to be serenaded to Peter Gabriel, and to be taken to Dodger’s Stadium after competing on the K-12. I wanted the dream, back when I was a teenager and still could think actors had some scruples. But that dream died a while back, and even though he was still a fine actor, there is a line you just do not cross.
So, fuck you, John. Fuck your insipid twattle, you twatmoldy fucktard. You have killed what little respect I still may have harbored deep in the well of my soul for you. Whatever your views may be, they do not excuse your call for death threats against anyone. What happens if one of your idiot Twit followers decides to glorify your words?? All actors need to shut the fuck up unless they are reciting words other people wrote for them in front of a camera. I don’t want to know what they believe. I want to just lust after them and not have the image I have of them in my head (naked and in my bed mostly) destroyed by their mental illness. And most are fucking loons. Fact.

As for Mr. Cusack, well where to start? I never understood the whole “He’s such a great actor!” thing. No. He’s not. Never has been. Never will be. People talk about Keanu Reeves being a “wooden” actor, but frankly Cusack can give a 1000 year old sequoia lessons about acting “wooden”. He has exactly two facial expressions: bored and depressed. He can do various mixtures of the two – depressingly bored or boringly depressed but anything beyond that he really has to stretch.
In one respect he’s kinda like Jack Nicholson; Jack generally only plays one character: Jack Nicholson. Cusack only plays the Cusack character. HOWEVER, Jack Nicholson is actually an interesting character in of himself. John Cusack is not. He’s exactly Uninteresting. So, really Cusack is the anti-Nicholson.
Finally there are his movies. A lot of people like the stuff he’s in for some reason, but I don’t like any of them. Well, there is Identity but that’s in spite of Cusack’s presence, not because of it. Actually Amanda Peet is the big draw for that one.
Sorry for the rant, but that asswipe really bugs the hell out of me and has for a LOOONG time.

2. Nothing wrong with Nugent being a Libertarian as Libertarians, in a nutshell, feel that less government is GOOD government
3. We don’t hear too much about conservative celebrities for obvious reasons, but I have seen a poster many times depicting Republican women vs Democrat women. Anyone got it to post?
4. Surprisingly, Angelina Jolie (Jon Voight’s daughter, btw) is also conservative, although a for-real whack job otherwise.
5. The Expendables: two thumbs and two big toes UP! Excellent action movie; best I’ve seen in a long time.
