Sorry for the lack of posts, y’all. I found this earlier, through a friend at Facebook, and ended up walking away from the laptop, choosing to do something constructive before I hurled the poor thing through the window:
A U.S. Army soldier wants to leave the military service as a conscientious objector based on his beliefs as a Muslim, but he says he’s concerned he may be deployed to Afghanistan anyway.
Pfc. Naser [sic] Abdo, 20, an infantryman assigned to the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Ky., said Monday that if the military orders him to deploy, he will refuse to go despite the fact that it may result in a military charge against him.
First off, in my opinion, there is no longer room for the status of conscientious objector. And before anyone decides to bring up Sgt. York, he was drafted. Our military is strictly volunteer-based. So, if someone objects to violence citing his religion, he or she doesn’t have to enlist. If they feel the need to serve their country, there are other means besides the military. So, where the fuck does this fucktard get off with this shit? Where the fuck has he been the last eight years? He whines that he can’t reconcile his faith with his job. And why? Because we are at war with Afghanistan, and this pedophile-worshipping snot would be forced to make a decision on whom to shoot. Only not really, seeing as he is REAR DETACHMENT, and DOES NOT GET DEPLOYED WITH THE UNIT. So now the Army is once again, bending over backwards to make sure no one’s feelings get hurt.
And it is mighty convenient that this islamoretard started a blog only two days before he gave an interview to Al Jazeera, and is soliciting donations for his possible-but-highly-improbable court costs. The question is, should he be discharged into the general population, with no way of keeping track of the slimy toad, of should the Army keep him and watch the fuckmonkey closely, making sure to monitor his every move?

I could sort of understand Cassius Clay’s CI argument (“I’ll beat ‘em up for money, but I’ll not shoot ‘em for money or love of country either one,” as George Carlin paraphrased him), but as you said, this guy volunteered to enlist. I think they ought to honor his religious views anyway. Take his weapons from him and make him a mine detector or IED tester…
Being there is no current calling up or forced induction into ANY branch of the military, this asshat has no moral, ethical, or legal leg to stand on.
The best thing for the Army to do in this case is to give the vertical turd an Administrative Discharge “For the good of the service”, and be done with it. He is not worth the money, paperwork, time and effort for anything else. They can write it up so he is not illegible for any bennies, and rest assured it WILL show up if any future background checks are done on the mook.

Guy, my concern is with him dropping off the radar. I can’t think of any reason as to why a guy with this excuse would even enlist, except to gather info until such time as he had finished. This guy has to be watched from now on.

The enemy would never send people to join our military to receive training, would they? If he wants out he can accept a “Other than Honorable” discharge and pay the govt back for all his “training expenses” using all those “donations” for his legal expenses. And thats my minimum response. Leavenworth & Firing Squad are in the mix.
Or even better…put him on a LP at night and the spooks (intel)can disappear his ass.
He should neither be discharged nor kept. He should have a freak loading dock accident.
And I am sure he is being ‘singled out’ out for his religious beliefs and feels like he is the focus of hatred.
Other than Honorable discharge, pay back cash for his training and no VA benefits.

Oddly enough, while I have heard that mohammedanism is THE religion of peace, I seem to recall something in the koran aboot it being okay to fight wars and such. Matter of fact, quite a bit of history from the seventh century on involves mohammedans fighting their jihads, and Christians fighting back.

This individual is a disgrace to the men and women in uniform. He is far from alone, however. The military has become a career option for many who completely lack the requisite patriotism for real military service. Once they are called to pony up, however, then they are all of a sudden “conscientious objectors.” I’ve seen this first hand, and it is a disgusting sight.
WTF is wrong with our military, anyway? Besides Obama, I mean. SERIOUSLY
Keep him in the rear guard but make sure an especially heavy crate “accidentally” falls on him off the back of a supply truck.
I hear that the Marines could use some live targets at the range at Camp Lejeune . . . just sayin’.
