Girlie Drink of the Week
My apologies to y’all. I didn’t make a GDOTW for you this past week, because….well, it’s New Year’s, and I’m pretty y’all have that covered. But BOOZE* is BOOZE*, and thanks to a friend of mine, and a spare bottle in the fridge, I shall be making these for New Year’s Day at my sister’s:
POINSETTIA
- 1 Tbsp. Grand Marnier, or Triple Sec
- 1 Part Cranberry Juice
- Champagne
- Juice of ½ lime (optional)
There are several variations of the cocktail. One version has you mix the triple sec and cranberry juice, then adding the champagne and floating the lime juice on top. Another has you pour the cranberry juice in the glass, add the champagne, and float the Grand Marnier, skipping the lime juice. Whichever you prefer, I hope it helps you to enjoy the holiday!

I visit this site once or twice a day and it is always enjoyable.
Sometimes a hooker catches my eye, sometimes a BOOZE recipe catches my eye, but I always get a laugh from the gentle sense of humor from H&B, and I thank you for that.
May our collective 2012 bring us more joy than we could have imagined in years past.
P.S. That whole G00gle pandering bit with the ” BOOZE, BOOZE, BOOZE”, still cracks me up…possibly because I have been following your regimen for several years. Now that I think about it, perhaps you shouldn’t listen to a damn word that I say. But, I’ll say it anyway….

Nice. It’s not a “get drunk” drink, it’s what you drink after you’ve been drinking all day.
I first had it at my niece’s 4th of July, her husband is Irish and I spent from 10AM to 2AM drinking with a bunch of Irishman and then we hit those.
That was right before I got the one with the most non-understandable brogue to say, “They’re always after me Lucky Charms”.
