We were covering it. I lost count of the number of Escalades and H2′s. It looked like a dealership.

Ok so as a kid I was a fan and I still like her early music but damn even I knew back then she was a crack head. I may have been naive to figuring out who the gay guys were(yes I was shocked by Greg Louganis being gay) but I was pretty good at calling the druggies and alkies.
I still do not understand that flags at half-mast. Seriously WTF if up with that???

To justify the half mast routine I saw the description “cultural icon” used. Really? I dont remember her having a profound impact on a genre or of her being the Queen of any genre. She didn’t influence style. Anita Baker was better in my opinion. I just never viewed Houston and anything more than a talented singer with a perchance for some very manufactured pop music. What did New Jersey as a State lose? A 20 yr bygone celebrity that was in a career / life death spiral? I just think that we elevate entertainers way above any reasonable level of appreciation.

The worst mistake I ever made was creating a blog/journal and having people who I thought were my friends betray me and talk smack about me behind my back (not any of the Rotties.)
But you have much thicker skin than I do, and I’m better off being a reader rather than a writer anyways.
