Girlie Drink of the Week
I am soooo ready for Election 2012 to be over. But what kind of philistine would I be, if I didn’t offer the perfect cocktail to imbibe during election day coverage?
A bad philistine, that’s what.
Anyway, I thought today’s offering was appropriate. Governor Romney may not imbibe, but we his supporters at H&B do!
El Presidente
- 1½ oz. White Rum (Crystal)
- 1½ oz. Vermouth Blanc
- 1 barspoon* Orange Curaçao or Grand Marnier
- ½ barspoon* Grenadine
- Thinly-sliced Orange Peel
Stir ingredients well over cracked ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Twist the orange peel over the top and drop in or discard as you prefer. Garnish, if desired, with a cherry. Personally, I prefer this with the Grand Marnier. And don’t pass on the cherry. It makes the drink a very pretty RED!!!

Hm, looks interesting even if it should have insulin as a garnish. BTW Aggie, have you seen that in addition to redneck wine glasses, they’re also making champagne flutes and martini glasses? Spotted ‘em at Cabela’s yesterday while picking up some ice fishing supplies. Looks like there’s gonna be a little surprise under the tree this year!

So voted and went to the bar for breakfast/lunch afterwards(ok, I had already voted but went with roommate). The bar had a vote here sign out front as part of a promotion…..while I was there 19 people came in wanting to vote!!!! Was it wrong that we told the stupidest people the wrong place to go?
By the way is being buzzed while working a bad thing?
