Girlie Drink of the Week

So I was watching one of my favorite movies of all time, with one of the sexiest, most debonair actors of all time, when it hit me: surely someone, somewhere has paid alcoholic tribute to this classic film.

And they have!!

Arsenic and Old Lace

• 1 ½ oz Gin
• ½ oz Absinthe (the fake stuff is fine)
• ¼ oz. Crème de Violette
• ¼ oz. Dry Vermouth

Pour ingredients into an ice-filled shaker, stirring or swirling until mixed. Strain into a champagne saucer or martini glass. Garnish with a twirl of lemon.

It has a lovely opalescent color, and not as sweet as y’all would think. Now back to my insanity. It’s galloping at breakneck speed, and I still have shopping to do
