So I’m looking for a bike. A cruiser to be precise. Advice?
Update: Y’all can have this too.
Benjamin Netanyahu is the closest thing Americans have to Winston Churchill.

You should get one with room for that blonde gal on the back.
Honda’s got some decent cruisers, too bad they don’t make the VTX anymore. I’d go with the Phantom, but if you’re gonna go with a metric bike, stay the hell away from Kawasaki.
I’m a crotch rocket gal so don’t know much about cruisers, except I’m usually passing them!
I have a Suzuki GSXR and love my little rice burner. Never a day of trouble with it!
I’m all about the rice rockets too, Jaegersmom. Every now and then though, the guys and I will swap bikes when we’re out for a ride. My brother’s got an 87 Virago 1100 that’s like flying a sofa, and my other brother had a Shadow ACE 750…I forget the year.
My big project for this year is to transform my 74 CB550 into a cafe racer. May’s well, The Wife never comes along on rides since The Boy came along.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu………..
Today is Tuesday, and I forgot about the Girlie Drink. Sorry, boss
The Shadow is the one that I see the most of. I’ll take a look at the Phantom.
Oh, and I’m looking at metric bikes because I don’t get paid enough money to spend twice what a bike is worth.
Aggie: I’ll let it go ….. this time.
so…. was the girl last seen working on the bike?
Started out on rice rockets then in my 40′s tried the Fatboy. It was fun, kind of like having an old, old beater truck, but I kept dragging the pegs. I suppose forward mounted controls would have helped. Then I found the Ducati Monster, big torque like the HD but it would actually corner. Then I got a Ducati 999 for track days. trying to sell the 999, to bent over for my 55 year old back. But the Monster is still a freaking hoot. Maybe a Motard would be fun too, depending on your hooligan level?
Shit, I hope I don’t get a pay cut.
You can probably find a nice used Honda VTX1800 for sale. I highly recommend. It seems like a big bike (and it is), but she handles low speed nicely.
I’ve got a VTX1300S, and I love it. We’ve made many a mile together. To you ricegrinder folks, let’s take a nice 5-600 mile cruise. See what your back tells you about that style of ride. You may be faster, and be able to look all Johnny Racer™, but I’ll get off my bike and head into the restaurant. When was your last 1,000 mile day?
Oh, Rob. Checked the new Ducati Diablo? That VT750C you’ve got pictured would probably be a very good choice for you, AG. Especially if it’s been a while, or you’re just now getting into it.
Thanks for the advice. Y’all are awesome.
I may as well be just getting into it as its been so long since I’ve been on one of the things.
Honda Valkyrie Rune. Sex on a Gold Wing chassis. You’ll have to buy it used, though, cause they don’t make them any more.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Stay the hell away from used bikes unless you really know what you’re doing or you’re getting it with some sort of warranty from a dealer. My 83 GPZ750 spent twenty years in a shed and aside from the tree rat hoard in the pipes, there wasn’t a single screw that the asshat who owned it hadn’t stripped. It was banging on three cylinders and dropped out of second gear. Don’t get me started on Kawasaki’s petcock. Basically, that bike was a pile of shit from day one till I donated it to the community college. Sure was fun to ride, though.
Very nice hooker, by the way. What ever happened to the days when you could scroll over the pic and find the chick’s name?
Sentry,
images.google.com can be you buddy. drag the image to the search box and it will find similar images on the internet.

I’ll try to make sure to look those up before I post them.
And let us know who this hottie is!
AG
I have a Vulcan 900 Kawasaki that I love. Its a newer model that is fuel injected and gets about 55 MPG. I had a KZ 1100 and loved it also but it got terrible mileage. Don’t know what Sentrys obsession with hating Kawasaki is but I have had nothing but good times with them.
I would have bought a Harley but could not afford the truck to haul it around
My first bike was a Kawi 500 Triple. Scary fast, it but didn’t like the twisties. Then I got a BMW R 100CS. Sold that to a buddy a couple years ago. Now I’m looking at the
R 12′s.
Does that mean I get my GS450 back? Last I saw it was still just a rolling chassis.
Get a Harley if you want the chick. Trust me, it cured my mid life crisis and started an addiction to Cialis, which I solely blame this website for.
We are both happy, and sad for you
