Satire? You Be the Judge

Honestly, I can’t tell if it’s satire or not.
I think the spelling gives it away. Then again, the paper could have done a spell and grammar check before publishing.
You know, twenty years ago, this would have been clearly satirical. Sad that today we can’t be sure.

That letter doesn’t surprise me at all. As usual, the fallacious arguments are many, inaccuracies are many (the Constitution was ‘written a hundred years ago’) and, as usual, they refuse to use their name and stand up for their comments.
I do not hate Obama because he is (HALF) black…I hate his white half, too!! (There is actually a bumper sticker that says that!)
Funny, and I’m pretty certain it’s satire.
That is some good, subtle satire.
I’m thinking it’s satire, but know there are more than too many people nodding their heads and saying such things as “right on”.
That’s disturbing.
I’m pretty sure it’s satire, as well.
It’s just SAD that we even have to consider the possibility it’s not.
Although it MAY be satire; anyone thats ever gone to KayInsane’s place, or the DU, or been romping in the mud with the Kos Kids KNOWS that there are, unfortunately, a great many idiots that really “think” this way; even MORE unfortunately, their vote counts just as much as ours…
I might expect this kind of missive from some weenie at the university in Chapel Hill, but find it’s from a dropout in Beaufort. This country needs an enema.
This reminds me of the work of someone I used to read on TownHall comments, Loyal Democrat.
The first time I read his/her stuff, I composed quite the vitriolic response, only to be poked later by one of my fellow respondents letting me know that LD was strictly tongue in cheek.
Brilliant, said I at the time and looked forward to all future postings.
This, however, is a real head scratcher.
I think that I’ll choose to read it as satire, since it is hilarious.
Paulie, I LOVED LD!!
He was my favorite THer
Well, if it is satire, it’s so spot on that it’s disturbing. There really are people out there that think like that. God help us all.
Hilarious.
I can’t tell if it’s satire or not. I hope so, satire trolling is the highest form of humor.
I’d say putting “baba booey” at the end would have been too obvious.
But let’s look at the fact that the newspaper ran that letter.
They don’t run all the letters they get and they rarely run ones that long.
They thought it was for real and loved the sentiments in it so they wanted to make sure everyone saw it.
I hope it’s satire and he punked them good.
Satire and pretty good. Almost like something I’d write.
I’d a left out the c-section stuff. That makes it too obvious and the satire becomes mockery (Which is a great thing)
I’m saying satire as well. I’m also borrowing this for my place, as soon as I quit laughing long enough to do it.
Oops, put email wrong, lost avatar.
[...] But unless the paper did spelchek before they printed, this has to be satire. Found this at Hookers and Booze. [...]

You are so right D-Man. Look at this brain cell killing spooge dropping.
