Definition of Irony?

Making the rounds, but I found it first at The Asylum:

If you want a good laugh, click to embiggenify.

I do wonder if the media, who tried to make this into an energizing movement along the lines of the TEA Party, will now realize that the only movement these people resemble, is a bowel one.

And as a palate cleanser….

Karma is Feeling Groovy

Posted by LC Aggie Sith on Thursday, September 22, 2011 in AssHatery, Idiotarians, Political Correctness, terrorism

Oh yes…. Karma is quite the unrepentant bitch, and rightly so. Witness how she just gave Julian Assange a taste of his own medicide*:

The autobiography of Julian Assange is published today despite attempts by the WikiLeaks founder to suppress it after a bitter row with its publisher.

Oh, the rich, rich taste of that bastard’s tears!!

Actually, forget tasting them. Just go ahead and bathe in them.

“I have kept my own counsel about the matter until now,” he writes. “It will be difficult to keep anger out of this account, owing to the sheer level of malice and opportunism that has driven the case against me.”

Newsflash, you idiot: YOU brought this upon yourself. YOU were the one who insisted that EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD should be available to EVERYONE. YOU were the one who laughed at the concept of “privacy”. Now, you are making a mockery of yourself, pining for the same privacy that you felt no one and no country should ever have.

You wanted to play God on your terms, and forgot the other side of the coin, Assange. Welcome to Karma, and I hope you choke on that bitter pill.

The Truth Hurts

Posted by LC Aggie Sith on Monday, August 29, 2011 in AssHatery, Idiotarians, Politics, Total Bullshit

In this particular instance, the infliction of pain goes a long way in putting a smile on my face:

Powell says Cheney taking ‘cheap shots’ in book

Let’s take a moment here to laugh, shall we??

The Affirmative Action General goes on to bitch on Face the Nation that this book is nothing more than a rehashing of what happened about eight years ago, and that had Cheney’s staff and others in the White House had been forthcoming about the Valerie Plame issue, Libby would not have been indicted and convicted. Not sure what that has to do with Cheney’s criticisms of Powell’s rather weak policy towards Iraq, but rehashing is good for the goose, and apparently the gander, too.

Go read the article. The whole thing is a whiny bitchfest about how he served President Bush and how Cheney basically is acting like he is writing a supermarket tabloid unbecoming a former vice-president. Not that you need me to point it out, but who do you really think is acting like a creature from a tabloid here??

I rest my case.

Monday Facepalm

Posted by LC Aggie Sith on Monday, August 22, 2011 in AssHatery, Left Wing Media, Politics

A friend of mine from way back in high school posted this on Fecesbook*:

The United States has become a country where the chasm between the rich and the poor has grown to enormous proportions. We should be one of the most progressive countries, given our commitment to freedom and democracy and the kind of talent and invention we’ve nurtured here. But we are not. Warren Buffett’s idea makes sense, but the so-called conservative media is trying to spin it as a statement of “socialism” and “class warfare.” It’s ridiculous when the top 1% can convince the other 99% that making sure the 1% is doing better all the time and keeping the others down is good for everyone. It’s called “feudalism” and “oligarchy.”

And then he has a link to this, asking people to sign:

I didn’t reply to his post. I stay out of my liberal friends’ posts. They are way past the point of saving, and I have better things to do with my time, like wash my hair. I did find it surprising par for the course that not once did my friend bring up the fact that Buffett can donate any amount of money, at any time, to the Treasury. He has no idea to whom the term “super rich” refers. To him, they are evil incarnate who as he claims, “keep the 99% down”. The same inventors and talent he was praising like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs and Steven Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey and Michael Dell and Rupert Murdoch and Michael Bloomberg and Abigail Johnson and Leona M. Helmsley (relation, but not the bitch from hell) and Ruth Parasol and  T. Boone Pickens and fucking Warren himself are the eeevul 1%. The same 1% that provide jobs and services so that the rest of the 99% can move on up to the East Side!!!

I was tempted to reply. But I know him, and he is a true “citizen of the world”, who thinks the UN is the greatest beneficiary known to Mankind. He’s beyond hopeless. He still hasn’t made the connection between the evul mentioned above, and the fact that they contribute mostly to the Democrats. But considering he makes a living playing his violin at local joints, I’m not surprised.

Good Cop, Bad Cop

Posted by LC Aggie Sith on Saturday, August 20, 2011 in AssHatery, Funny Pics, Movies

This morning I was perusing Fox News for…well, news, having heard that the two American hikers in Iran had been given 8-year sentences (why the hell haven’t we bombed this country to hell, where they want to go??), Syria has effectively told Obama that Assad is staying, so fuck off, (another country deserving of many daisies--as in daisy cutters), and Egypt is removing its ambassador from Israel. Things are coming to a head over in that sand pit. That said, something else in the site caught my eye:

Who Played the Toughest Cop?

Hm…..

I admit, I do like to watch a good cop movie, and by that, I mean a good movie about cops. Most everyone does. There is something about a good guy catching the bad guy. And when the cop is bad, you really want him to get caught and face justice, because he should know better than anyone, right?

Anyway, the list had eleven actors who portrayed police officers in film. And of course, the best cop ever was included:

But egregiously, this was NOT included:

What…The…HELL??? They include those pissants Colin Farrell and Benicio Del Toro, and even add Jake Gyllenhaal in a role that isn’t even freakin’ finished yet, but skip John “Yippee Kah Yay, Motherfucker” McClain??

What kind of a commie bastard does that?? Fucking morons, that’s who.

I may need to break my diet for this….

It’s For the Children…

Posted by LC Aggie Sith on Monday, August 8, 2011 in AssHatery, Government, Politics

Like it or hate it, we all have to deal with the boondoggle that is No Child Left Behind. In simple terms, the law was enacted to help schools bring kids into math and reading proficiency standards by 2014, using testing each spring. If the school doesn’t have the required percentage meet the goal, the school fails.

Which translates to firing of teachers. Guess who doesn’t like that?

So what is the administration to do? They decide to give schools waivers.

The plan to offer waivers to all 50 states, as long as they meet other school reform requirements, comes at the request of President Barack Obama, [Education Secretary Arne] Duncan said. More details on the waivers will come in September, he said.

Hey, it worked for Obamacare, right??

Through the waivers, schools will get some relief from looming deadlines to meet testing goals as long as they agree to embrace other kinds of education reforms such as raising standards, helping teachers and principals improve, and focusing on fixing the lowest performing schools.

But these waivers do NOT state how high the standards should be met, the amount of improvement of teachers and administrators should reach, or the definition of “fixing” the lowest performing schools. You just have to show that you are doing something, anything. And usually that means hiring more staff, forming another task force, etc. According to Duncan, about 80% of schools are in danger of closing if these waivers are not sent out. And though some schools are about to face sanctions under the law, there is no accounting for that high estimate, even from education experts.

But hey, public schools are just too big to fail.

Marvel-ling at Affirmative Action

Posted by LC Aggie Sith on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 in AssHatery, Political Correctness, Total Bullshit

Sometimes it doesn’t pay to relive your childhood. I used to read comic books when I was young, and loved how the good guys always won, and the bad guys were vanquished, and evil was held back for another day. And I always understood that heroes didn’t die, and by extension, neither did villains. Seriously, what would be the fun in that??

But now, Marvel has decided to jump the shark five times over. Because the first time was just too much fun.

[I]n the Ultimates series, Peter Parker gets killed at the hands of his nemesis the Green Goblin. But, being a comic book series, no hero stays dead for long. While Peter Parker may be gone, a new kid is stepping into the tights: Miles Morales.

Miles Morales is a half-black, half-Hispanic super-powered teen who gets into the hero game after being inspired by Parker’s death.

Yes, I know the Ultimate Series is different than the standard line. But not only do they kill of Spidey, his replacement has to meet Affirmative Action approval. Now, I could care less what ethnicity a superhero has. But I do care when suddenly, they start changing ethnicities and races of previous characters.

Nick Fury is now black.

Heimdahl, the freakin’ WHITE GOD, is now black.

Interestingly, previous characters that were black, have not been made into other races or ethnicities in the Ultimate Series, like Blade and War Machine. In the Marvel Universe, Affirmative Action is a one-way street.

Monday Howler

Posted by LC Aggie Sith on Monday, August 1, 2011 in AssHatery, Idiotarians, Left Wing Media, Total Bullshit

Sometimes, it’s just too easy.

I was reading the headlines at Drudge, when I saw this one:

How the Tea Party Won the Deal

That seemed to me to be a bit…odd. No one denies the TEA Party is influential. That goes without saying. But we aren’t a “party”, for one, and to find that as a headline from a news source (and I use that term loosely) is a bit surprising. So I go on to read the article, and end up having to wipe coffee off my keys.

While the details of the debt ceiling deal remain fuzzy, this much is clear: Barack Obama may be president, but the Tea Party is now running Washington. How did this happen? Simple; this is what American politics looks like when there’s no left-wing movement and no war.

No left-wing movement?? REALLY??? If there were no left-wing movement, there would be no Obamacare, no government takeover of banks or carmakers, no push to have the UN regulate our guns, etc. And what the hell is going on in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya, you moron?? It ain’t coffee klatches, you know. No matter what new term this administration gives them, we are still fighting wars in three theaters, and the one your Prez is solely responsible for pulling out of his ass is the one that has NO Congressional approval, you Kool-Aid drinking dolt.

The writer, from the Daily Beast, which should tell you something, goes on to say that the liberals are mad because the Prez agreed to cuts without raising revenues. Then he bring up the Bush tax cuts, because you can’t have an article without blaming Bush somewhere. He goes on to babble:

since the economy collapsed in 2008, only one grassroots movement has emerged in response, and it’s been a movement of the right.

Uh, no. The TEA Party has no affiliation. “TEA” stands for “Taxed Enough Already”, and though most of it’s members hail from the right, I can attest to personally knowing members who are democrats and liberals. This is the group that Nancy Pelosi called “astroturf”, remember? And has the author forgotten about the “Coffee Party”, rising in response to the TEA Party?

I had to read the next bit of tripe twice to really let it sink in.

Obama, like FDR, had a reasonably successful first two years: a stimulus package that while too small for the circumstances was still large by historical standards and a health care bill that while subpar in myriad ways still far exceeded the efforts of other recent Democratic presidents.

He credits the Prez with passing the Stimulus, which he had just blamed Bush for, but says it was too small for the circumstances. He does admit the healthcare bill has “issues”, but really nothing-to-worry-about-move-along-a-Dem-Prez-passed-it-so-it’s-ok.

Perhaps it’s because Obama didn’t take on Wall Street, perhaps it’s because with labor unions so weak there’s just not the organizational muscle to create such a movement, perhaps it’s because trust in government is so low that pro-government populism is almost impossible.

Didn’t take on Wall Street?? Labor unions are weak?? What the hell is he talking about? Was he not around when Obama was pushing for “Wall Street reform”?? And is he not aware of all the strong-arming by the NLRB to Boeing right now, and the “campout” in Wisconsin? I’ll give him the trust in government, though.

He goes on the blame Bush for the 2004 prescription drug bill, which the LEFT wanted, because (I am serious here), he wanted to be re-elected so he could perpetuate the War on Terror. I couldn’t make this up if I were drunk and on antihistamines.

The good news is that the Tea Party, more than Barack Obama, has now ended the neoconservative dream of an ever-expanding American empire. The bad news is that it has also ended whatever hopes liberals once entertained that roughly 100 years after Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson, roughly 75 years after the New Deal and roughly 50 years after the Great Society, we were living in another great age of progressive reform.

American empire?? Ever-expanding? Our so-called “empire” has not expanded since …… yeah, that long. If he thinks we went to Iraq and Afghanistan for real estate, he is seriously deluded. One thing I do know: if “neocons” wanted to expand an “empire”, we would have done it on a more tropical area. And far closer to home. I’m looking at Acapulco.

But the thing that gave me the heaves was that “progressive reform” barf. He is one of those that believes that Socialism will work heeeeere. And what is he talking about when he says “another age”? He’s talking about FDR, and the New Deal. But he forgets FDR had a MASSIVE war going on, too.

The last paragraph made me smile, though:

Given the era of fiscal scarcity we’re now entering, those neocon and progressive dreams are now likely dead for many years to come. Meanwhile, the Tea Party’s dream of a government reduced to its pre-welfare state size becomes ever real.

That’s right, you idiot. We are in this era because government spent more money than it was taking in. And now the TEA Party is telling the gov’t that it, too, has to live within its means.

Honestly, does that writer even balance his own checkbook??
