Well, as y’all know, I’ve had family visiting all week, which has made me even MORE scarce around the intewebtubenets than usual.
But what y’all didn’t know, was…
HUBBY IS HOME!!!!
He arrived last night, and got the chance to see my family before they leave today. So, I shall leave you with a funny, since now I have to help my mom pack up the vehicle and get the kids moving.

I’ve had an alarm sign outside every home I’ve lived in, and I’m sure they are effective to a degree.
But I want effective to every degree.
The only thing that can add to the effectiveness of this sign is a marksmanship trophy on the sill, and a center mass target on the window

Walken Along Saturday
I had a great time last night visiting with an old friend and making new ones. And I was a good Catholic! I didn’t partake of any cheesecake, chocolate mousse or angelfood cake I made and served, nor of the moscato or the pinot noir.
Aggie-2, Lent-0!! That means it’s time for more cowbell!!
Yeah, I’m watching Sleepy Hollow today. Even as the Headless Horseman he exuded coolness.
Of course, a cool front moved in and the dogs went batshit with all the wind noise outside, so that woke me up at 4 AM, and I stayed up with them until 5 AM. So, I pretty much just stayed awake until the alarm went off. So now, I feel like this:

Burned Out
I am so sorry I didn’t have an Open Thread for Friday. Thursday I had to get my van ready for my niece to borrow, and had to help my sister out with an appointment, and then had a friend from out of town come over to visit, which necessitated going out to dinner. Friday I had to do a favor for a friend, entailing a trip to the other side of town, and dealing with rain. And the idiots driving in it. In all, I spent six hours on the road yesterday, and never left the area. By the time I got home, I was tired enough to fall asleep on the floor, completely ignoring the fact that the couch was right there next to me. I woke up in time to get to my friend’s wine party, and after no wine (since I was driving), I came home and sat down at the laptop looking at the admin post feature and completely blanking out. I guess I was just a bit burned out.
This weekend promises to be more hectic, with my sister’s inlaws coming from out of town, but hopefully that will just provide fodder for this place
