Jay-Z is releasing a new line of T-shirts in support of the Occupy Wall Street movement Friday via his Rocawear clothing label, but he doesn’t plan to share any of the profits with the protesters.

And that, ladies and gents, is rich on many, many levels. This so-called musical artist will gladly make a buck off the protesters, standing in figurative solidarity with them, but when it comes to the bottom line, will not lift a finger to help them in any way. And the dumb masses can’t see they are being used by him to increase his fortune.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the clothing company that is making the shirts had this to say:

“The ‘Occupy All Streets’ T-shirt was created in support of the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ movement. Rocawear strongly encourages all forms of constructive expression, whether it be artistic, political or social. ‘Occupy All Streets’ is our way of reminding people that there is change to be made everywhere, not just on Wall Street. At this time we have not made an official commitment to monetarily support the movement.”

So, to the dumb masses occupying parks in cities across the US, I hope the knowledge that Jay-Z is making money off your back and enjoying the rotten fruit of your labor all the way to the bank in no way keeps you up at night. I’m sure the lice, tuberculosis, lack of heat, and the fear of getting assaulted or even raped is enough to keep you awake.

The Redneck Olympics are facing a legal challenge from the United States Olympic Committee, according to organizer Harold Brooks.

The legislation’s author, Carlos Apolinario, said the idea for a Heterosexual Pride Day is “not anti-gay but a protest against the privileges the gay community enjoys.” As an example, he mentioned how São Paulo’s huge gay pride day parade is held every year on Paulista Avenue, one of the main thoroughfares in this city of 20 million people, while the March for Jesus organized by evangelical groups is not allowed on the same avenue.

And what happens when you bring equality into the equation? The side who enjoys it freaks out.

“The celebration of heterosexual pride is inappropriate because it belittles the just cause of the LGBT community,” the statement added. “Unlike homosexuals, heterosexuals are not discriminated against simply for being heterosexuals.”

Newsflash: this isn’t about YOU!! This is about affording the same courtesy to all groups, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, or whatever the hell they call it now. I have no issue against gay pride parades. I have the choice to not watch and to not attend, just as they have the choice to not watch or not attend the March for Jesus. But when you have clear preferential treatment given to one group over another, as the example above shows, you have a problem. Brazil doesn’t have the same equal opportunity measures that we in the US enjoy, so this legislation is a huge deal for the clear majority. Yet the minority has to speak out against it, because equality is a one way street.

As though to drive home the reason why the gay community should be given superior rights, they play their trump card.

In a recent report, the gay rights group Grupo Gay da Bahia said 260 gays were murdered last year in Brazil, up 113 percent from five years earlier.

That statistic is tragic in and of itself, but pales in comparison to the crime stats for Brazil: under “murders committed by youths“, the total is 20,386. And 20,126 were heterosexuals. Who are the criminals really targeting??

It is patently untrue that Attorney General Eric Holder gave a speech about Gunwalker in early 2009. His probable lies about what he knew and when he knew it would have dated from much later in the year.

Those of us on the right need to be much more careful about what we write than the MSM. They fuck something up and its no big deal, we make even the slightest error and we never hear the end of it.

Project Gunrunner began under President Bush in 2005 and involves several law enforcement agencies within the DOJ, including the FBI, the DEA, the ATF, and the U.S. Marshals. Straw buyers would purchase guns illegally, and ATF would bust them before they left the parking lot. The program apparently turned up a lot of meth heads.

Fast and Furious, the subject of two investigations--one by the DOJ Inspector General’s office, one by the House Oversight Committee--began in 2009 and was intended to catch bigger fish; perhaps whoever was directing the straw buyers. Since the program was exposed by CBS earlier this year, the DOJ has called the actions of those involved with Fast and Furious “illegal.”

It was the first accident I’d ever been in that I didn’t just walk away from. I’ll heal, but I didn’t *walk* anywhere. It was also the first time I’d been hit with an airbag and I have to say that it was much better than the alternative.

One neat thing: once they pried my out of the vehicle, I realized that my glasses were gone. A few people searched my vehicle for them but came up empty. Just about the time I’d decided I’d just have to be blind for a few days, one of the wrecker drivers who was cleaning up the street came up and asked me if I wore glasses. He had my glasses in his hand. In tact, lenses unscratched. He said he found them laying in the street near the point of impact. Newton is a wacky fellow.

Yesterday, 27 June 2011, was Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Day.

Why is it important? Most of us who remember seeing the movie “Patton”, remember him slapping a soldier who had ‘battle fatigue’.  Back then, and until a couple of years ago, PTSD/battle fatigue/shell shock had a stigma of weakness. I refused to be diagnosed several years ago with PTSD due to that stigma (That refusal changed last year). Even the military now is changing their mentality. One study has reported that 1 in 6 soldiers returning from Iraq and/or Afghanistan will be diagnosed with PTSD. The issue is it affects not just the soldier, but family and friends, who are usually the first to notice the symptoms.

Now, however, there are actual medical testing that can be done to see chemical changes in the brain during repeated stressful/traumatic situations and events.

Please take a minute and look here for the National Center for PTSD to be better acquainted with the program.
