Gotcha!!
Of course, y’all knew this was bound to happen sooner or later. Frankly, I thought it would have happened way sooner, but they aren’t the swiftest boats out there:
NAACP, Left-Leaning Media Groups Form Tea Party Tracking Site
That’s right, they are out to watch YOU!!! BOO!! The name of the tripe site is “teapartytracker [dot] org, and it will feature blog entries, interviews with people at rallies, and twittering, along with ” a picture of a T-shirt they say someone spotted at a rally that reads, ‘Blacks own slaves in Mauitania (sic), Sudan, Niger, and Haiti’” [italics mine]. Read it again: a pic of a shirt THEY SAY SOMEONE SPOTTED. Desperation?
The site, sponsored by the NAACP, Think Progress, New Left Media and Media Matters for America, will monitor “racism and other forms of extremism within the Tea Party movement. We call on the Tea Party to repudiate extremists among their ranks and join in civil dialogue with all Americans.”
Civil dialogue?? Is that what they call using the Race Card? Oh, and last I checked, the Tea Partiers are very good about swiftly repudiating those who come into rallies showing extreme views, especially those masquerading as Tea Partiers, just looking for dirt to post on youtube. Oh, and here’s their catchy motto: “A watched teapot never boils.” Pretty dated saying, isn’t it? Freakin’ morons apparently never learned real science. Just wait until this November. You’ll see a boiling teapot up close and damn personal.
Poll Dancing Weenies
I am not one to pay attention to polls. I find very few of them to be useful, and feel that most of them are out to sway public opinion in someone’s favor. Case in point: the fracas between Daily Kos founder Markos *spit* Moulitsas and Research 2000, a polling firm. And this poll is no different:

At first glance, this seems innocuous, until you peruse the rest of the polls and find that this is the only one they closed off to voting. The other polls are still open to vote. Then you have this:
Only 63 percent of those Americans surveyed think that our sitting president is serving in the office legally. Is it the success of the “right wing conspiracy” or failure of our academic instruction in civics and government that would lead 24 percent of respondents into believing Barack Obama was born in another country, and another 13 percent to be apparently unaware that the U.S. Constitution requires that the president of the United States be a “natural born citizen”?
How about option C: failure of our civics lessons such that 63 percent of the population is clueless to the meaning of “natural born citizen”, or option D: an attempt by the “left wing media” to redefine “natural born citizen” and push their agenda?
See? I can play the game, too.
Ding Dong, Part Deux
Hard on the heels of the demise of the Wicked Witch of the East, comes news that the Wicked Witch of the West may be in serious trouble:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi‘s (D-Calif.) remarks to a gathering of progressive activists at the America’s Future Now conference on Tuesday were greeted by screaming protesters, forcing Pelosi to literally yell parts of her speech.
There is a video at the link above, but it’s rather blurry. One can hear, however, the disenchantment among the crowd. Oh, and did I mention “the crowd” was composed of progressives? The incident took place at the America’s Future Now conference held in Washington, D.C., and hosted by the Campaign for America’s Future, a progressive organization. Additional enjoyment video can be found here. Below is Pelosi’s reaction to the heckling:
Not only does she have her security detail around her (one of whom looks like an aged version of Bram Stoker’s Dracula), but you’ll hear a gentleman specifically say the crowd is “starting to throw things”, or words to that effect. What I find terribly interesting is that MaDamn Pelosi doesn’t seem in the least bit scared of the crowd. Yet she shed tears for fears over “political violence” just a few months ago:
My English teacher told me once that liars have to have good memories. Sure looks like Pelosi’s botox treatments are impeding her ability to recollect her own lies. Shedding crocodile tears does nothing to improve your looks, MaDamn.
Draw Pisslamic Mooslim Day
Obviously I am no artist. But I just had to participate. Check out Lemur King’s contribution, as well as Enas Yorl’s artistic rendition.
Let me know if any fatwas are handed out.
UPDATE: Because this is a distasteful subject, I shall reward you with this: (more…)
Not So Harmless
We all read about the incident involving five young men at Live Oak High School. These young men had the *GASP* effrontery to wear *SHOCK* items depicting the American flag to their school on May 5th. The vice-principal, Miguel Rodriguez, approached them and told them to remove the offensive wear, for fear of starting a fight, or some such nonsense. Basically, the kids wore appropriate clothing to school, but the pussy of a vice-principal thought it would cause the peace-loving Hispanics celebrating Cinqo de Quatro* to basically riot. Nope…not jumping to conclusions there…
Now we hear that this school has a bigger problem than five kids exercising their rights. It turns out that one of the school “clubs” is none other than MEChA. For those unfamiliar with this society, MEChA stands for “Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan” which translates to “Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan”. Guess what they preach (for lack of a better word)?
Essentially, we are a Chicana and Chicano student movement directly linked to Aztlán. As Chicanas and Chicanos of Aztlán, we are a nationalist movement of Indigenous Gente [people] that lay claim to the land that is ours by birthright. As a nationalist movement we seek to free our people from the exploitation of an oppressive society that occupies our land. Thus, the principle of nationalism serves to preserve the cultural traditions of La Familia de La Raza and promotes our identity as a Chicana/Chicano Gente.
So, to those who see the celebration of Cinqo de Quatro* as just an excuse to drink Coronas, think again. This may be my opinion only, but I don’t see the Irish freak out when someone wears an American-themed shirt on St. Patrick’s Day. Likewise with the Germans on Oktoberfest, or the Italians on Columbus Day. Ask yourselves: why is it so celebrated here, yet virtually ignored through most of Mexico? Sometimes the conspiracy theorist in me rises up, I know…. But recent happenings like this and the Texas school suspending a kid and illegal immigration rallies make me wonder, a lot.

Boob Belt Unravels
Back in December, I posted an entry on a statue erected in honor of Barry Soetero, AKA Prez Obama, by the city of Jakarta. I also posted an update a few days later detailing the Facebook campaign launched in protest. Apparently, they have been effective:
Indonesian authorities said Monday they are considering a petition to tear down a statue of US President Barack Obama as a boy, only a month after the bronze was unveiled in Jakarta.
The Facebook group has been very critical of the statue, believing the site should have been used to honor an Indonesian instead of a foreigner who happened to have lived there for a short time.
Members of the “Take Down the Barack Obama Statue in Menteng Park” group on Facebook say Obama has done nothing for Indonesia.
“Barack Obama has yet to make a significant contribution to the Indonesian nation. We could say Obama only ate and s (expletive) in Menteng. He spent his subsequent days living as an American,” the web page says.
Yep….Prez Obama is just some dude who lived there for a few years, not an Indonesian hero or wunderkind. I wonder what will be the reaction when he and the Roya– I mean, the First Family go for a visit?? Pure sugary goodness!!!!
Open Thread: Massachusett(e)s Election
Well, today is the day. I don’t really expect much to be going on around here today and I’d say Ace of Spades HQ is probably going to be the best seat in the house today.
My prediction: Brown by 3.
Curtal Friar at Fountain Abbey has this.
And he also has this:

But I’m gonna make you go over there to see the big version. I’d hit that like Dale Earnhardt hits a retaining wall (too soon?).
Update From the Boob Belt
If you recall, I wrote a post about a statue of President Barack Obama erected in Jakarta, Indonesia last week. Turns out not everyone in Indonesia is pleased about it:
JAKARTA, Indonesia — A statue of President Barack Obama as a boy erected in a Jakarta park has been targeted in a Facebook campaign by thousands who say it should be removed.
The Facebook group named “Take Down the Barack Obama Statue in Taman Menteng Park” had attracted more than 10,000 members by Tuesday since the 43-inch statue of 10-year-old Obama dressed in shorts and a T-shirt was unveiled in the downtown park on Thursday last week.
Now, this is how one should use a social working site! Moving along….
