Today’s tipple is a classic. Yes, I have posted this one before but A) it’s in the previous incarnation and 2) I want to provide access to the recipe for those who wish to pin it or save it. Everything old is new again.
Whiskey Sour
- 2 oz. bourbon whiskey
- 1½ oz. lemon juice
- ¾ simple syrup
- lemon wedge and cherry for garnish
Pour ingredients into an ice-filled shaker and mix well. Strain over ice into a rocks glass, and garnish. Cherry is for looks, but the lemon gives it an extra punch of sour. If it’s too sweet, adjust the simple syrup to taste. And don’t forget to do your best Don Draper impression when drinking it 🙂
You’re right about the Don Draper thing. Just thinking about it has made me treat my secretary terribly and disappear from work at weird times.
Well, I’m not sure you should do the former, but A-OK on the latter 😀
I may have had a “study” session with a cute girl in college that consisted of mostly drinking whiskey sours at her apartment.
I mean, it’s not like Soc 101 required a lot of deep thought.
It still doesn’t. Trust me.
Aggie – Is the IRC for ye olde H&B back or is it just flypaper?
I think AG brought it back, but I keep getting a timeout on loading the page. I will send him a query.
This is a girlie drink? Who knew?
Well….. *I* drink it 😀
